The suit originated in 2006 and claimed that defects in E46 3-series models cause d3NVp9. As far as cost not sure. I'm doing it myself. Oem rod bearings, oil, filter, gaskets and new bolts is $500. I'll be replacing my oil pump which if I remember correctly was 2-300.
