The typical minimum vehicle speed to enable regeneration is 30-40km/h and the higher engine load will assist reaching the minimum exhaust temperatures to enable regeneration of the DPF.
It's not a DEF regeneration, it's the DPF regeneration. Your problem is most likely the DPF differential pressure sensor is giving a bad reading. Modern diesels emissions systems don't like the engine to be idled for long periods, other than doing an EGY cool down after working the engine hard don't let it idle for more than 5-10 minutes.
Using low-quality fuel can also cause frequent regeneration cycles. Low-quality fuel can contain more contaminants, which can clog the DPF filter and trigger a regeneration cycle. Towing or Hauling Heavy Loads. If you frequently tow or haul heavy loads, your truck may be more prone to frequent regeneration cycles.
Know this is an old thread.. but you can force a regeneration. Been having all sorts of DPF regen issues. If you have the AlfaOBD app and a bluetooth dongle you can connect to the engine and tell the engine to force a regen. Seems to have cleared up the issues for now. 🤞🤞Just FYI if anyone is still rocking a diesel and feel as a forced
I use Multiecuscan software and leads. You can force a regeneration, but it may not be needed. You have to tell the ecu that you have changed the sensor and then it recalibrates. You also should tell the ecu when the oil gets changed. Mine had been serviced at least twice by Fiat dealers and this had never been done.
After starting the cycle, monitor all related parameters such as fuel level, exhaust backpressure, EGR valve, and so on to ensure that they are working properly. Wait until the DPF regeneration process is completed. This could take anywhere from 20-45 minutes depending on your specific model of Ram vehicle.
9BOtoV. Ok so wanted to update you all the first pic is the reading prior to dpf regen and the rest are after this was done using my icarsoft mbv2 also is that milage down to a tenth of a km? First one shows fill level at 316% and after 4% can anyone advise .26g of soot is good level and also ash content 16kg?
So I tried to force a regen while driving, keepings revs high, but too many idiots on the road. Got home, and plugged in the Vida, and behold Partical soot almost 40g full. I have read that at 45g they need to replace the DPF. So I forced the regen with Vida, and felt so sorry for my car, as it ran at a constant 3000 rpm, for 1hour and 7
Check the engine oil for diesel contamination (could be the result of regeneration). The fuel additive Eolys level is too low. “If the DPF is not regenerated and the PM level fills to over 90 per cent or 45 grams, the DPF will need replacing. “This is not covered under warranty. “When fitting a new DPF the ECU must be reset before
How to force BMW E90 DPF Regeneration with INPA cable. Posted on December 3, 2015 by OBDII365. I bought my e90 325d 2007 with unnervingly clean exhaust tips and shortly after having DPF warning light come on. I drove 1,000km later still on and even after thrashing for miles on the motorway. Checking engine temp was above 75c etc etc – no joy.
Hello i have a5 2.7 tdi and it has lost alot of power it only revs up to 3000rpm it stinks of exhaust fumes and i scanned it with a basic reader it said p2002 dpf bank 1 blocked however i had no lights on the dash for this I've borrowed an obd eleven but it seems you have to have the pro version to do dpf re gen is this an update or was it always the case? Thanks
